Srinagar, Dec 18: Max Super Specialty Hospital in Shalimar Bagh has officially launched its multi-specialty OPD services in collaboration with City Care Chemists and Druggists, located in Srinagar.
This new facility aims to provide professional guidance on various health issues, particularly focusing on cancer and heart conditions.
The inauguration was attended by Dr. Surender Kumar Dabas, Vice Chairman & HOD of Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, Dr. Alka Dahiya, Consultant in Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, and Dr. Dinesh Chandra, Associate Director of Cardiac Surgery (CTVS) from Max Super Specialty Hospital, alongside Dr. Abdul Rouf Malik, Consultant in Orthopaedics and Co-Founder of City Care Chemists & Druggists.
The medical team will be available at City Care Chemists & Druggists, located near Sarovar Portico Hotel, Peer Bagh, Srinagar, every third Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Dr. Surender Kumar Dabas stated that improvements in oncology treatments have significantly enhanced cancer outcomes when detected at an early stage.
“Robotic surgery represents a meaningful advancement in surgical techniques for minimally invasive operations,” he commented.
Dr. Alka Dahiya pointed out the increasing incidence of cancers affecting women’s reproductive health, such as cervical, ovarian, uterine, and vaginal cancers.
“Breast cancer continues to be a primary diagnosis, placing 1 in 8 women at risk. Early detection is crucial for effective treatment,” she highlighted.
Dr. Dinesh Chandra noted that cardiac surgery has progressed remarkably, with minimally invasive techniques now allowing for quicker recovery and reduced postoperative discomfort.
“These OPD services in Srinagar will bring specialized cardiac care closer to the community, ensuring timely and convenient access to healthcare without the necessity for long-distance travel.”
