JAMMU, Feb 17: The President of Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Sat Sharma, chaired a meeting with senior party activists, where he underscored the significant impact of the welfare schemes initiated by the Narendra Modi Government, highlighting their importance in uplifting various segments of society.
“The welfare schemes of the Modi Government have changed the lives of millions across the nation, ensuring benefits extend to every community, from farmers and women to the impoverished and middle class,” Sharma stated. He referenced programs such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and Ujjwala Yojana that have supported individuals and improved their living standards.
Among the standout initiatives, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has delivered affordable housing to countless families, both urban and rural. Sharma emphasized that the Government’s commitment to “Housing for All” is being realized through various financial aid and subsidies for home construction.
While discussing Ayushman Bharat – (PM-JAY), he pointed out that this vast health insurance scheme has allowed millions of underprivileged families to obtain free medical services. “Healthcare costs often thrust families into poverty, but Ayushman Bharat has made quality healthcare available to those in need,” he remarked.
According to Sat Sharma, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has significantly aided farmers by offering direct income assistance of ₹6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers. He noted that empowering women is a crucial focus of the Modi Government, highlighting the Ujjwala Yojana, which has provided LPG connections to women from economically disadvantaged households.
He further mentioned that initiatives like PM Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana ensured free rations for over 80 crore Indians during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Jal Jeevan Mission is working to supply tap water to every household.
