Jammu, Feb 19: Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district seized over 500 grams of heroin along with Rs 5.14 lakh from the residence of an arrested drug dealer. According to police, the confiscation occurred at the home of Jaswinder Kumar, also known as Sonu, in the Lamberi area of the Nowshera sector. Kumar, who is suspected to be the ringleader of a drug trafficking network, was captured on February 4. Following his arrest, two of his accomplices were detained on February 14 in Sair Bhawani village, where they were found with 6 kg of high-grade heroin valued at Rs 30 crore. Additionally, last year, two suspects associated with the racket were apprehended with 5.3 kg of heroin, the officer noted.
