POONCH, Dec 31: In an important move to improve connectivity, the stretch of Mughal Road from Bufliaz to Pir Ki Gali has been officially transferred to the Border Roads Organization (BRO) by the Public Works Department (PWD). This transfer followed efforts made by District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal, completing all necessary formalities.
The Deputy Commissioner confirmed the transition, highlighting the critical nature of this road segment. He urged the BRO to bolster infrastructure efforts during the winter months to enhance access for both civilian traffic and security forces in the area.
“The BRO has the personnel, resources, and expertise necessary to effectively manage operations under severe weather and difficult terrain,” noted the Deputy Commissioner.
This joint initiative aims to ensure that Mughal Road remains safe and passable through the winter, ultimately benefiting the local community and improving strategic mobility in the district.
