NEW DELHI, Jan 2: The Nasscom Foundation announced on Thursday the immediate appointment of Jyoti Sharma as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Sharma takes over from Nidhi Bhasin and brings over 20 years of experience in fostering social impact, leading program development, mobilizing resources, and engaging stakeholders, as stated by the organization.
“Her visionary leadership and extensive expertise will be crucial in expanding our impact through our flagship initiatives, enhancing our outreach, and driving significant change through innovative technological approaches,” said Rostow Ravanan, Chairman of the Nasscom Foundation.
Founded in 2001, the Nasscom Foundation is a non-profit organization representing the Indian technology sector.
Sharma expressed her commitment to reinforcing the Nasscom Foundation’s TechForGood legacy by extending its outreach and amplifying its impact.
“I aim to ensure that the synergy between technology and social innovation propels India toward its goal of digital equity and inclusive growth,” she commented.
An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Sharma has held leadership positions at various organizations including Organic Cotton Accelerator, the European Commission, World Resources Institute, Magic Bus India Foundation, Action Aid, and Save the Children. (PTI)
