NEW DELHI, Dec 4: On Navy Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his admiration for the Indian Navy, highlighting its unwavering commitment to ensuring the nation’s safety, security, and prosperity.
Navy Day is celebrated to recognize the important role the Navy plays in India’s defense, with December 4 selected to honor its bravery during the 1971 war against Pakistan, where it delivered significant losses to the adversary.
“On Navy Day, we salute the courageous personnel of the Indian Navy who guard our waters with unparalleled bravery and dedication. Their dedication is vital to the safety, security, and prosperity of our country. We take immense pride in India’s rich maritime legacy,” the Prime Minister stated in a post on X.
