NEW DELHI, January 31: On Friday, the Central Government announced the extension of NHAI chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav’s term by an additional two years.
Yadav, who belongs to the 1995 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, was appointed as the chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in December 2022.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has sanctioned the extension, allowing Yadav to serve as NHAI chairman until February 17, 2027, extending his original term past February 17, 2025, as stated in a Personnel Ministry order. (Agencies)
