Srinagar, Jan 3: On Friday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took action under the UAPA by attaching a property in Anantnag district in connection with a terrorism-related case, as confirmed by officials.
The NIA has targeted a 19-marla land parcel situated in the Halpora area of Kokernag within the southern Kashmir district.
This property is owned by local resident Mohammad Akbar Dar.
The agency’s actions are based on the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and form a part of their ongoing investigation into terror financing and related operations. The NIA stated that this property attachment is a component of their broader strategy to dismantle financial networks that are believed to support terrorism and “unlawful activities” within the Union Territory.
