SONAMARG, Jan 13: On Monday, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah asserted that those who commit acts of violence will consistently face failure in Jammu and Kashmir and will not be permitted to jeopardize democracy in the area.
Speaking to a crowd following the inauguration of the 6.5 km Z-Morh tunnel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Abdullah also called for the reinstatement of statehood.
He honored the memory of seven individuals, including a local physician, who tragically lost their lives in a terror attack targeting the tunnel construction workers last year, emphasizing that they gave their lives for the advancement of both the nation and Jammu and Kashmir.
