SRINAGAR, Dec 5: Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, announced on Thursday that he will discuss the restoration of statehood for J-K with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
“While the prime minister and the home minister were occupied with elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, they are now available to address this matter. We hope to see J-K’s statehood reinstated soon,” Abdullah stated to reporters after participating in an event to celebrate the 42nd foundation anniversary of SKIMS Hospital in the region.
The foundation for the hospital was established on the birth anniversary of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, the founder of the National Conference, in 1982, just a few months following his passing.
