WAYANAD, Dec 1: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra delivered a sharp critique of the BJP-led government on Sunday, asserting that the current struggle is against forces undermining citizens’ rights and favoring a select group of business associates.
During a gathering in Mananthavady, she remarked, “We are defending the spirit of our nation, the soul of India.”
On the second day of her visit to the hill district, she emphasized, “We are resisting a force intent on dismantling the institutions that underpin our nation.”
She vowed to stand with the people of Wayanad, championing their needs in a united front.
According to her agenda, Priyanka is scheduled to address events in Sulthan Bathery at 12:15 PM and Kalpetta at 1:30 PM.
On this two-day visit to Wayanad, accompanied by Rahul Gandhi, she participated in public engagements in locations including Mukkam in Thiruvambadi, Kaulai in Nikambur, and Wandoor and Edavanna, situated within the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, on Saturday.
Priyanka celebrated her first electoral success by clinching the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll with a commanding margin of 410,931 votes, surpassing the lead of her brother Rahul during the general elections earlier this year. (PTI)
