Passenger Plane Carrying 72 People Crashes Near Aktau, Kazakhstan

Moscow, December 25: Reports from Russian news agencies indicate that a passenger aircraft carrying 72 people crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, on Wednesday, as confirmed by Kazakhstan’s Emergencies Ministry.
The Azerbaijan Airlines flight was traveling from Baku to Grozny in Russia’s Chechnya, but was diverted due to fog conditions in Grozny, according to the reports.
Prior to the crash, the aircraft circled the airport several times. The aircraft was operated by Azerbaijan Airlines.
