New Delhi, Feb 21: On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for leaders across various sectors to adopt a global perspective while maintaining an Indian mindset. He stated, “We require individuals who progress with an international outlook but rooted in Indian principles,” during his address at the School of Ultimate Leadership conclave.
He advocated for leadership that embodies both “global thinking and local upbringing,” stressing that every sector—be it bureaucracy, business, or beyond—needs leaders who can navigate global challenges while advocating for India’s interests on the global stage.
Modi remarked that India is on the rise as a global powerhouse and highlighted the crucial role of world-class leaders in accelerating this growth and replicating similar successes across sectors. He noted that institutions like the School of Ultimate Leadership could play a transformative role.
Additionally, he underscored the importance of human resources in achieving success and the urgent need for innovators who can harness and direct skills. He referenced Gujarat, mentioning initial skepticism about the state’s potential due to its lack of natural resources. However, he highlighted its current successes, citing that despite having no diamond mines, 90% of the world’s diamonds are handled by Gujaratis.
The School of Ultimate Leadership is set to be a new institution in Gujarat aimed at cultivating “authentic leaders for the common good,” according to official releases. The two-day conclave will provide a platform for leaders from various fields, including politics, sports, arts, media, spirituality, public policy, business, and social work, to share their inspiring stories and discuss leadership dynamics.
