New Delhi, Dec 23: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a video conference to distribute over 71,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals.
In his address, PM Modi congratulated the new hires, stating, “I’ve engaged in numerous professional discussions with India’s youth in Kuwait, and this program marks my first initiative upon returning home. I offer my sincere congratulations to all the youths and their families.”
He emphasized that maximizing the potential and capabilities of the country’s youth is the government’s highest priority.
“We are persistently working towards this goal through Rozgar Mela. Over the past decade, various government ministries and institutions have launched campaigns aimed at providing government employment. Today, over 71,000 young people have secured jobs. In the last 18 months, our government has created nearly 1 million permanent government positions. This milestone is remarkable,” PM Modi stated.
He highlighted that previous administrations lacked a dedicated mission for providing permanent government jobs to the youth, whereas currently, millions are gaining employment with utmost integrity and transparency.
The Prime Minister further noted that a nation’s development hinges on the strength and leadership of its youth.
“We have all pledged to construct a developed India by the year 2047. We firmly believe in this commitment because every policy and decision in India is centered around our talented youth. Over the past decade, initiatives like Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Startup India, Standup India, and Digital India have been designed with youth at the forefront. India’s policies regarding the space sector have evolved, and manufacturing in defense has seen significant boosts, with the youth being the primary beneficiaries of these changes,” PM Modi remarked.
He added that today’s youth of India are imbued with renewed self-confidence and achieving success across various sectors.
“When a young person opts to launch their own startup, they find a robust ecosystem to support them. When they choose a sporting career, they do so with confidence in their success. Today, India has emerged as the second-largest mobile manufacturing hub globally. From renewable energy to organic farming and from defense to wellness, the country is scaling new heights in every industry,” he explained.
Rozgar Mela represents a significant effort to provide meaningful opportunities for youth engagement in nation-building and self-empowerment. (AGENCIES)
