This festival signifies the commencement of the Sun’s ‘uttarayana’ (northward) journey, a period deemed propitious in Hindu culture.
Modi conveyed his wishes for renewed energy and enthusiasm to all, and also acknowledged the celebration of Magh Bihu, a harvest festival in Assam.
He stated on X, “We honor the richness of nature, the joy of the harvest, and the essence of community. May this festival enhance our spirit of joy and unity.”
