NEW DELHI, Feb 4: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Wednesday, planning to take a holy dip at the Sangam at approximately 11 a.m.,” according to his office.
Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), stands as the most significant spiritual and cultural gathering in the world, drawing devotees from various nations. “The event will run until Mahashivratri on February 26,” as stated by the Prime Minister’s Office.
“On February 5, Prime Minister Modi will participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj,” the statement added. “At around 11 a.m., he will immerse himself in the Sangam and offer prayers to Maa Ganga.”
Emphasizing his dedication to fostering and safeguarding India’s spiritual and cultural legacy, Prime Minister Modi has continually taken initiatives to upgrade infrastructure and services at pilgrimage sites,” the announcement noted.
During his previous visitation to Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, Prime Minister Modi unveiled 167 development projects valued at ₹5,500 crore, enhancing connectivity, facilities, and services for the public. (Agencies)
