Jammu, Dec 3: Authorities have apprehended two female overground workers (associates of terrorism) under the Public Safety Act in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials reported that both female associates linked to terrorism have been detained under the provisions of the Public Safety Act (PSA).
The individuals have been identified as Maryama Begum, a resident of Loudhara, Basantgarh, and Arshad Begum, a resident of Rai Chak, Basantgarh. They were deemed to pose a significant threat to the safety and security of the region.
Investigations revealed their involvement in providing logistical support to terrorist factions and acting as guides and facilitators for such organizations. Their ongoing activities were assessed to create a serious risk to public safety and peace, according to police officials.
To prevent any further criminal actions that could endanger state security and considering their prior activities, both individuals were ordered to be detained under the PSA.
