JAMMU, Dec 7: Taking a significant step to improve citizen services and enhance public convenience, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has introduced specific helplines in Poonch and Doda districts to assist locals with various verifications.
This initiative reflects the police’s dedication to promoting transparency, efficiency, and community-focused policing, as stated by a spokesperson on Saturday.
The helplines are designed to streamline the verification process for residents needing assistance with passport, employment, tenant or domestic helper verification, character certificates, and any other necessary police verifications.
Operational from 10 am to 4 pm, these services are aimed at guiding citizens through verification processes, providing application status updates, and resolving related inquiries, according to the spokesperson.
The police encourage citizens to utilize these helplines to prevent delays or dependence on middlemen, assuring timely and transparent service for all applications.
