NEW DELHI, Jan 16: President Droupadi Murmu and Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam today launched a joint logo in celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore.
The logo features elements representing both nations, including colors from their respective national flags, the Lotus (India’s national flower), the Orchid (Singapore’s national flower), and the number 60, emphasizing this significant milestone.
The design conveys the message “India Singapore 60 years of diplomatic relations,” with the arrangement of these elements symbolizing the lasting friendship, mutual trust, and shared values between the two countries, according to an official statement.
Over the years, cooperation between India and Singapore has deepened and diversified. Our bilateral relationship is marked by strengthened political, defense, economic, cultural, educational, and people-to-people connections. We enjoy warm relations that serve as a strong foundation for our expanding collaborations in advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitization, healthcare and medicine, sustainability, and education and skills development.
Singapore plays a crucial role in India’s Act East Policy and our vision for the Indo-Pacific region. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of our diplomatic ties, a series of events is being organized to reflect the importance that both India and Singapore place on this partnership, the statement added.
