BANGRIPOSI (ODISHA): On Saturday, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated three new railway lines in Odisha.
The railway lines – Bangriposi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Keonjhargarh – had their foundation stones laid by Murmu, alongside Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, among others.
According to the Railways, these new lines are expected to generate additional job opportunities and drive socio-economic progress in the region, enhancing connectivity in the tribal regions of Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
The new infrastructure will also streamline the transportation of raw materials from these mineral-rich areas.
Additionally, the President laid the virtual groundwork for three projects in Rairangpur: a Tribal Research and Development Centre, Dandbose Airport, and a sub-divisional hospital. (Agencies)
