NEW DELHI, Feb 9: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Monday, where she will take a holy dip at the Sangam, as announced by her office.
The Maha Kumbh, which commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13), is the largest spiritual and cultural event globally, drawing devotees from around the world. The celebration will last until Mahashivratri on February 26.
“During her one-day visit to Prayagraj, the President will perform a holy dip and conduct Pooja at the Sangam, offer Pooja and Darshan at the Akshayvat and Hanuman Mandir, and also explore the Digital Kumbh Anubhav Centre,” stated Rashtrapati Bhavan in a release on Sunday. (Agencies)
