NEW DELHI, Feb 13: President’s rule has been enacted in Manipur on Thursday, following the resignation of Chief Minister N Biren Singh four days earlier.
The assembly is now under suspended animation.
In a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, it was stated that President Droupadi Murmu believes “a situation has arisen in which the Government of that state cannot function according to the provisions of the Constitution”.
