NEW DELHI, Dec 23: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the BJP on Monday for imposing GST on examination forms, asserting that the government has transformed the aspirations of parents, who painstakingly save to educate their children, into a means of profit.
She highlighted an examination form from the Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute in Lucknow, which indicated an 18% GST charge.
“While the BJP fails to create jobs for the youth, it exacerbates their struggles by imposing an 18% GST on exam forms. This tax applies to every government job application, including Agniveer,” Priyanka Gandhi stated in a post in Hindi on X.
“If the exam paper is leaked due to governmental incompetence or corruption, the fees paid by the youth become futile,” she added.
Priyanka Gandhi lamented that parents work tirelessly and save every cent to ensure their children are prepared for exams, yet the BJP government has exploited their dreams for financial gain. (PTI)
