SRINAGAR, Dec 2: In a significant operation, Anantnag Police has seized a two-story residential property under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA). The property belongs to Firdous Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Hugam Lonepora, Srigufwara, covering an area of 1 kanal and 10 marlas (Survey No. 5419/561 Min) and is estimated to be worth around ₹5 crores.
According to a police statement, the seizure is associated with case FIR No. 57/2024 from Police Station Mattan and was carried out in the presence of an authorized police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements.
This action marks a key development in the ongoing investigation into illegal and subversive activities in the area. It underscores the Anantnag Police’s strong commitment to countering threats to national security and maintaining public order.
