MUMBAI, Feb 18:
The electric two-wheeler manufacturer PURE EV announced on Tuesday a partnership with JioThings, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, to incorporate smart digital clusters and telematics into its electric vehicles.
As part of this collaboration, for which both parties have signed an initial agreement, PURE EV will look into integrating JioThings’ smart digital clusters, featuring comprehensive IoT solutions, into its electric two-wheelers to enhance their usability and interactive capabilities, the Hyderabad-based company reported.
The inclusion of telematics supported by 4G connectivity will enable customers to monitor vehicle performance in real-time and obtain valuable insights for improved efficiency.
“This exploration marks a significant move towards assessing the potential to redefine the EV ecosystem, ensuring our customers reap the benefits of improved connectivity, functionality, and convenience,” stated Nishanth Dongari, founder and MD of PURE EV.
The JioThings 4G Smart Digital Cluster utilizes AvniOS, based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which provides real-time data analytics, customization capabilities for the two-wheeler interface, and compatibility with full HD+ touchscreen displays, according to PURE EV.
Another integrated feature is the Jio Automotive App Suite (JAAS), which provides various products and solutions tailored specifically for two-wheeler users, including JioStore, music streaming, web browsing, voice assistance hands-free, navigation, gaming, and much more, as stated by PURE EV.
“This partnership is a progressive step in shaping the future of the electric two-wheeler industry and encouraging the widespread adoption of sustainable transport solutions,” remarked Ashish Lodha, President of Jio Platforms Ltd. (PTI)
