JAMMU, Jan 21: The Foundation Day of Meghalaya, Manipur, and Tripura was celebrated at the Raj Bhawan in Jammu. The event featured a cultural program showcasing the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and was attended by students, security personnel, and residents from these states now living in J&K.
In his speech, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended warm wishes to the communities of Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur. He honored the remarkable figures from these states, acknowledging their vital contributions to nation-building efforts.
The Lieutenant Governor also discussed the transformative socio-economic journey of the North Eastern states under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He emphasized the rapid and inclusive developments that have aligned the aspirations of the North Eastern populace with those of the nation.
“Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur are rich in India’s diverse traditions, culture, folk art, and crafts. I take pride in stating that the North Eastern states are now essential growth engines for the country, inspiring society with their cultural values and spiritual ideals. May these fortunate states keep reaching new levels of growth and development. I wish the people happiness, peace, and prosperity in the years ahead,” concluded the Lieutenant Governor.
