JAMMU, Dec 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Raj Bhawan commemorated Nagaland’s Statehood Day today, embracing the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. This celebration also acknowledged Assam Day, observed on December 2, with students, security personnel, and residents from both Nagaland and Assam as special guests.
During his speech, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to the people of Nagaland and Assam. He honored the legacy of prominent figures such as Rani Gaidinliu, Reverend Poswuyi Swuro, Maniram Dewan, Piyali Barua, Gopinath Bardoloi, and Kanaklata Barua, acknowledging their vital contributions to nation-building.
“Nagaland and Assam represent a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity. These two states embody the strength of India, showcasing its cultural heritage, vibrant folk art, crafts, and literature. I hope that these blessed states continue to achieve new milestones in growth and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wish for peace, prosperity, and welfare for all their citizens,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
