JAMMU, Dec 1: The Jammu Kashmir Raj Bhavan commemorated the Statehood Day of Nagaland, embodying the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
This celebration highlighted the intrinsic cultural connections among states and acknowledged Assam Day, which is observed on December 2. Students, security personnel, and residents from Nagaland and Assam were honored guests at the event.
During his speech, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his congratulations and warm wishes to the people of both Nagaland and Assam.
The Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to notable figures such as Rani Gaidinliu, Reverend Poswuyi Swuro, Maniram Dewan, Piyali Barua, Gopinath Bardoloi, and Kanaklata Barua, reflecting on their invaluable contributions to nation-building.
“Nagaland and Assam represent a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity. These two states exemplify India’s strength, cultural heritage, rich folk art, craftsmanship, and literature. May these blessed states continue to achieve new milestones in growth and development, guided by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. I wish for peace, prosperity, and well-being for all their citizens,” declared the Lieutenant Governor.
