JAMMU, Jan 6: An Army soldier was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, according to officials.
The soldier, identified as Krishna Yadav from Rajasthan, was stationed in Sawajian and was discovered deceased under unclear circumstances.
His remains have been transported to the hospital, where a post-mortem examination was performed by medical professionals.
Doctors noted that he had sustained a head injury.
“We will determine the cause of death once we receive all the reports. At this point, I cannot comment on whether it was a suicide or not. We need to wait for the findings,” stated a doctor. (PTI)
