NEW DELHI, Dec 7: On Saturday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh encouraged citizens to generously support the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, emphasizing a shared duty to ensure the well-being of soldiers.
Every year, Armed Forces Flag Day is commemorated on this date to pay tribute to the martyrs and the brave men and women in uniform who have valiantly defended our borders.
In a video message shared on X, Singh highlighted the occasion as a chance for citizens to acknowledge the unwavering bravery, sacrifices, and commitment of the soldiers, reaffirming their dedication to supporting these “bravehearts.”
“Our armed forces provide an unyielding security shield, always prepared to safeguard us from external threats as well as during natural calamities,” he stated.
“The sacrifices and discipline of our soldiers serve as a profound source of inspiration for every Indian,” he added.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to the welfare of veterans, Singh assured that efforts are consistently being made to meet the needs of ex-servicemen and their families.
He urged citizens to contribute, emphasizing that their support can play a vital role for the soldiers and their families.
For the betterment of society, it is the responsibility of every citizen to earn abundantly and donate generously, he remarked. (PTI)
