JAMMU, Jan 10: Javed Ahmad Rana, the Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, toured various locations in Bhatindi today to evaluate the development requirements of the community.
He was joined by MLA Vikram Randhawa and officials from the Jal Shakti and Forest, Ecology & Environment Departments.
During his visit, Javed Rana engaged with local residents, addressing their concerns and challenges.
While conversing with them, he emphasized that the welfare and development of the people of J&K are the main priority for the Omar Abdullah-led Government.
Residents brought up multiple issues, including consistent water supply, upgrading local roads, and enhancing sanitation facilities, among others.
In response to the public’s concerns, the Minister directed relevant officials to tackle issues pertaining to water supply, road enhancements, rural infrastructure, and other critical public matters.
He instructed the officers from the Jal Shakti Department to take prompt actions to address the local water supply challenges, ensuring that the community receives regular and quality water services. He advised that clear directives should be communicated to the field staff.
The Minister mentioned that the departments should prioritize the improvement of public facilities and assured that a significant shift in the development landscape would be witnessed in the near future.
Subsequently, Javed Rana assessed the restoration efforts of the tube well in Karyani Talab, which has been revitalized after over ten years. He stressed the importance of following proper procedures for the cleaning and debris removal from the well.
