KOLKATA, Jan 20: The energetic keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the captain of Lucknow Super Giants for the forthcoming IPL season, promising to give his “200 percent” in the quest for the team’s first title.
Pant was acquired at the mega auction for a record IPL sum of Rs 27 crore by franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka.
“I will truly give my 200 percent. This is my commitment to all of you. I will do everything in my power to repay the trust placed in me. I am genuinely excited for this new chapter and the fresh energy ahead, and I aim to have a great time filled with plenty of fun,” Pant expressed to reporters following his announcement as the new captain.
“We are starting with fresh hopes and ambitions. Most importantly, we are filled with new confidence. I am proud to present our new captain, Rishabh Pant,” Goenka stated. (Agencies)
