SRINAGAR, Dec 6: Just shy of two months into its term, the newly elected Omar Abdullah government in Jammu and Kashmir is reportedly encountering considerable disagreements with the Raj Bhavan regarding various administrative matters, as per informed sources.
Following the establishment of central rule in Jammu and Kashmir back in 2018, the governor, along with the present lieutenant governor, Manoj Sinha, has held complete administrative authority. However, the situation altered following the assumption of office by the elected government on October 16.
According to laws passed by Parliament, the lieutenant governor continues to have jurisdiction over All India Service officers, law enforcement, and several other areas of governance.
