CUTTACK, Feb 9: Veteran batsman Joe Root and opener Ben Duckett both notched half-centuries to propel England to a total of 304 all out in the second ODI today. India currently leads the three-match series 1-0 following their earlier win in Nagpur.
Root scored 69 runs off 72 balls, striking six boundaries, and received valuable support from Duckett, who made 65 runs off 56 balls with ten fours, alongside captain Jos Buttler (34 runs off 35 balls, two fours), helping form a crucial 51-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Liam Livingstone added 41 runs in just 32 balls, providing much-needed momentum late in the innings. For India, left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja emerged as the standout bowler, claiming three wickets for 35 runs.
