Acknowledging the significant representation of women among the recruits, Mr. Modi expressed his government’s commitment to making them self-reliant across various sectors.
He pointed out that the introduction of 26-week maternity leave is a significant support for women in their careers, noting that women are the predominant beneficiaries of housing built under the ‘PM Awas Yojana’.
He affirmed that development led by women is currently taking shape in the nation.
Mr. Modi stated that maximizing the abilities and talents of Indian youth is a key focus for his government, highlighting that they are central to numerous initiatives, including Startup India, Digital India, and reforms in the space and defense fields.
He also remarked that the National Education Policy has made strides toward youth development, underlining its focus on the use of regional languages. The Prime Minister added that his government has made hiring exams accessible in 13 Indian languages to eliminate language barriers.

During the event, Union Minister Jitendra Singh mentioned that over 29 percent of the 71,000 new recruits belong to the OBC category.
He added that recruitment from backward classes has increased by 27 percent under the Modi administration in comparison to the UPA regime.
According to Mr. Singh, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes represented 15.8 and 9.6 percent, respectively, in Monday’s recruitment figures.
