JAMMU, Dec 24: The president of the Welfare Society Tope Sherkhania, Sanjay Raina, along with his team, organized an outreach programme at Subash Nagar. Various government departments, including Social Welfare, J&K Bank, and the Medical Department, participated to share information about the Central Government schemes aimed at Kashmiri migrants. Dr. Arvind Karwani, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, also took part in the event, engaging with the migrants to understand their concerns personally.
The RRC assured attendees that their legitimate issues would be addressed. Many participants expressed interest in the welfare schemes available for migrants and requested more such camps in the future. Accompanying the RRC was a team of officials from his department.
Additionally, the Society organized a free medical camp, where migrants were provided health examinations for various conditions.
