PATNA, Mar 5: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat has commenced a five-day visit to Bihar, during which he will engage with party members and participate in various events, according to an official.
Arriving in Patna by flight, Bhagwat proceeded to Muzaffarpur, where he will be staying overnight before heading to Supaul on Thursday morning.
While in the Birpur sub-division of Supaul district, the RSS ‘sarsanghchalak’ is set to inaugurate a new building at the Saraswati Vidya Mandir school, returning to Muzaffarpur later in the day.
Bhagwat will remain in Muzaffarpur until March 9, during which he is expected to meet ‘swayamsevaks’ and individuals associated with other Sangh organizations.
This visit comes as the state gears up for assembly elections, with the BJP, the political wing of the RSS, seeking to strengthen its presence in the region. (PTI)
