MUMBAI, Jan 31: Iconic cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is set to receive the BCCI’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the Board’s annual soirée in Mumbai on Saturday (February 1, 2025).
At 51 years old, Tendulkar has participated in 664 international matches for India, holding the record for the most runs scored in both Test and ODI formats in cricket history.
“Indeed, he will be honored with the C K Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2024,” a source from the Board informed PTI.
With 200 Test matches and 463 ODIs to his name, Tendulkar’s appearances are unsurpassed in the sport’s history. He compiled an impressive 15,921 runs in Test cricket and an astounding 18,426 runs in ODIs.
He only played a single T20 International throughout his extraordinary career.
In 2023, the same lifetime accolade was awarded to former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and wicket-keeping legend Farokh Engineer. (Agencies)
