JAMMU, Jan 23: Sat Sharma has officially filed his nomination papers for the position of BJP State President of Jammu & Kashmir today at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Sat Sharma presented his nomination papers to Sanjay Bhatia, the Returning Officer (RO) for the State President’s election, with Shrikant Sharma, the National Observer for the organizational elections, present during the ongoing “Sangathan Parv” at the national level. Later, BJP National Vice-President Saudan Singh also joined the proceedings.
Former BJP President Ashok Khajuria, along with Rakesh Mahajan, the State RO for organizational elections, were also on stage.
The gathering included Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP National Secretary, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha), Er Gulam Ali Khatana, MP (Rajya Sabha), Dr. Nirmal Singh (former Deputy Chief Minister), Kavinder Gupta (former Deputy Chief Minister), Ravinder Raina (former State President), Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, members of the State Council, and other qualified voters for the State Presidential election.
In addition, eligible BJP workers also submitted their forms to become National Council Members from Jammu & Kashmir.
Speaking to the media, Sanjay Bhatia highlighted that the Bharatiya Janata Party exemplifies comprehensive internal democracy, which is a cornerstone of organizational democratic principles. He noted that every committed party worker is given an opportunity to serve in a role that matches their skills after a predetermined period.
Prior to the State President elections, there was an extensive election process for Mandal and District Presidents within Jammu and Kashmir. Bhatia remarked that Sat Sharma CA, who is the nominated State President for J&K BJP, officially submitted his nomination in the presence of other senior leaders.
