JAMMU, Feb 15: The president of the Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sat Sharma, along with Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, BJP National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, UT General Secretary Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, National Executive Member Priya Sethi, Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, and other leaders, unveiled a collection of Hindi poems inspired by the teachings and thoughts of Guru Ravidass.
These poems were penned by BJP spokesperson and former chairperson Balbir Ram Rattan.
During the event, Sat Sharma emphasized, “Guru Ravidass advocated for equality, brotherhood, and humanity. His teachings remain relevant and continue to guide us today. These poems represent a meaningful tribute to his greatness.” He added that the poems articulate Guru Ravidass’ teachings clearly and will inspire the younger generation.
Sunil Sharma praised the poems for encapsulating Guru Ravidass’ principles of egalitarianism, spirituality, and humanitarian vision, noting that they were specifically crafted for the BJP’s Ravidass Jayanti celebrations and will inspire the community.
Dr. Narinder Singh remarked that Guru Ravidass’ writings promote unity and devotion to God, affirming his life’s dedication to social equality.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal noted that Sant Ravidass embodied social reform and spiritual insight, actively opposing casteism and championing equality.
Priya Sethi reflected that Guru Ravidass taught the values of love, devotion, and humanity, fostering brotherhood and reverence for God.
Balbir Ram Rattan mentioned that through these poems, he strives to share the message and teachings of Guru Ravidass with society.
Jaideep Sambyal, Ravinder Singh Birpuria, Dr. Makson Tikoo, and others were also in attendance.
