SRINAGAR, Feb 5: J&K BJP president Sat Sharma, along with Sunil Sharma (general secretary and Leader of Opposition) and Ravinder Raina (former J&K BJP president), paid a visit to the family of martyred soldier (retired) Manzoor Ahmad Wagay in Kashmir. Senior BJP leaders also stopped by the Army Hospital to check on the health of the injured family members before visiting their residence in Behi Bagh, Kulgam, to offer condolences to the parents and daughters of the deceased soldier.
Sat Sharma firmly condemned the attack, stating that such acts against a former soldier like Manzoor Ahmad Wagay and his family are utterly unacceptable. He emphasized that individuals who have served the nation honorably are valuable assets to society. The culprits behind this heinous act are enemies of humanity and the nation, and they will face severe consequences. “Our security forces are among the best in the world, always prepared to protect our nation on all fronts. The terrorists responsible for this atrocious act will be dealt with swiftly by our forces,” he remarked. Sunil Sharma added that J&K has witnessed significant progress towards peace and prosperity, thanks to the bravery of our security forces, asserting that anyone attempting to disrupt this peaceful environment will not be spared. Ravinder Raina expressed the nation’s sorrow over this tragic event, praying for peace for the departed soul and strength for the grieving family to endure this profound loss. Altaf Thakur, Ali Mohd Mir, Zubair Ahmed Ganai, and other BJP leaders were also part of the delegation accompanying the Party president.
