MUMBAI, Feb 23: C S Setty, the Chairman of State Bank of India, announced on Sunday that the leading Indian bank aims to achieve Net-Zero emissions by 2055.
This ambition aligns with the bank’s centenary celebration scheduled for that year.
Setty shared these insights while inaugurating the “SBI Green Marathon Season 5” event in Mumbai, as stated in an official release.
More than 10,000 runners took part in various categories, including 5km, 10km, and 21km.
Similar events are planned in cities such as Vizag, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Pune, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, and Patna.
Renowned athletes like Vinod Kumar Sharma, Barun Kumar, Vishak Krishnaswamy, Ashish Arya, Sarika Jain, Raj Gandhi, and Rinkoo Singh were also in attendance at the event, according to the statement. (PTI)
