JAMMU, Dec 13: The SCERT J&K Divisional Office in Jammu organized a two-day seminar focused on the ‘Challenges in implementing the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) & National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE)’.
Under the guidance of Prof Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director of SCERT J&K, the seminar gathered school administrators, educators, and policymakers to discuss the critical need for fostering a positive school culture and environment that promotes the holistic growth of students.
The seminar was officially opened by Subah Mehta, Joint Director at the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, with Prof Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director at SCERT J&K, Divisional Office Jammu, and Dr J N Baliya, Professor at Central University of Jammu. Foundational faculty members from SCERT Divisional Office Jammu, including Swaran Singh Jaral, Tahira Parveen, Shailesh Kumari, and Dr Sanjeevani, were also present.
In her remarks, Subah Mehta encouraged school leaders to adapt to new policies and guidelines laid out by the NCFs and assist in transitioning from school efficiency to school improvement.
During the event, Prof Sindhu Kapoor emphasized that NCFs serve as a vital instrument for rethinking education and called upon participants to investigate and discuss effective strategies for implementing the NCFs to elevate educational standards in schools.
The seminar included a keynote address from Dr J N Baliya, Professor at Central University of Jammu, followed by panel discussions featuring distinguished experts from the education sector.
Panelists comprised Dr J N Baliya, Dr Rakesh Bharti (Assistant Professor, GCOE Jammu), Dr. Neeraj Jandial (Associate Professor, SCERT Jammu), Manu Vasudeva, Parshotam Singh, Amit Sharma, Yogesh Kumar, Dr. Jyoti Sudan, Dr. Sandarve Gupta, Paawan Vivek, Bindia Balwal, Rakesh Chobber, and Academic Officers from SCERT Jammu.
The program was coordinated by Deepak Kumar, Academic Officer, with support from Dr. Jyoti Sudan, Academic Officer. A committee comprising Seema Matoo Koul, Roopse Kapoor, Abha Verma, Dr. Sandarve Gupta, Kavya Sharma, Amit Bhagat, Amit Sharma, Parshotam Singh, Yugal Kishore, Manisha Chun, and Rukhsana Gulbadan managed the seminar.
The two-day seminar concluded with participant feedback and a vote of thanks delivered by Swaran Singh Jaral, Head of Academic Unit-II.
