JAMMU, Feb 20: A recent survey conducted by the Security Solutions Business of Godrej Enterprise Group (GEG) indicates a strong link between security and overall happiness. The study found that 98% of individuals who experienced a security breach in their homes reported a marked decrease in their feelings of safety and joy. Furthermore, it was noted that 35% of respondents had faced incidents such as break-ins, thefts, or burglaries. This alarming statistic highlights the critical need for improved security measures in homes throughout the nation.
In light of these findings, Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head of GEG’s Security Solutions, stated, “Our survey clearly demonstrates the profound relationship between security and happiness. A secure environment contributes to a healthier and more confident community. The growing use of security technology is no longer just a passing trend; it’s essential for improving quality of life. At Godrej, we remain committed to innovating solutions that enable people to safeguard what matters most, allowing them to live happier, more carefree lives.”
The survey also points to a shift in consumer behavior, with an increasing preference for sophisticated, integrated security solutions. Technologies such as AI-enabled surveillance cameras, smart alarm systems, and video doorbells are gaining popularity, reflecting a desire for real-time protection and deterrence against potential dangers. As security becomes integral to emotional and psychological well-being, it is evident that safeguarding one’s home is about more than physical safety; it’s also about fostering peace of mind.
The research emphasizes the essential role home security plays in enhancing individual happiness and mental tranquility. Respondents were also asked to identify which security features contribute to their sense of safety and well-being. Notably, 45% of those surveyed ranked surveillance cameras as a crucial security measure, followed closely by 41% who favored home lockers (Tijori). Other significant security features included security personnel (36%), alarm systems (29%), and video doorbells (20%).
