SRINAGAR, Mar 5: On Wednesday, security personnel, in collaboration with Fire and Emergency Services, carried out a mock drill at a railway station in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir to assess emergency response protocols.
Members from Kulgam police, the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), and Fire and Emergency Services took part in this exercise at Wanpoh Railway Station in Anantnag, aiming to review their readiness to address critical situations, according to a police spokesperson.
The purpose of the drill was to prepare the forces to respond effectively to any unforeseen incidents, particularly those of a terrorist nature, the official explained.
Additionally, the exercise sought to identify potential areas for enhancement and refine the existing response mechanism, the official noted.
This mock drill is part of the ongoing initiatives by Jammu and Kashmir Police to improve emergency response strategies and deliver effective services to the community, as stated by the spokesman.
