Jammu, January 10: Seven eminent individuals from the Jammu region have received invitations as special guests to attend the Republic Day Parade 2025 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26, 2025. They are among the 10,000 distinguished guests from across the nation, honored for their remarkable contributions in various sectors, including government initiatives, social welfare, and individual achievements.
The selected guests from the Jammu region have been recognized for their exemplary performance in their respective fields.
The list includes: Best Performing Water Warrior – Nisha Sharma from Tikri, Mand East, Udhampur; Textile (Handicrafts) – Dharam Paul from Basohli, Kathua; WCD (Handicrafts) – Neelam Parihar from Matta, Kishtwar; Yukti Kumari from Ramnagar, Udhampur; Surista Kumari from Paryal, Marh, Jammu; Suninderjeet Kour from Talab Tillo, Jammu; and Mehak, a winner of Veer Gatha 4.0 from Presentation Convent High School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
These individuals have been celebrated for their outstanding contributions, particularly in areas like water conservation, handicrafts, women’s empowerment, and education.
