NEW DELHI, Dec 25: On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the CRPF for its exemplary efforts in combating Naxalism and restoring peace in the Northeastern states as well as Jammu and Kashmir.
According to an official statement, Shah emphasized the significant role of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in maintaining internal security and tranquility across the nation.
This statement was made during Shah’s visit to the CRPF headquarters, where he engaged with senior officials, including Director General Anish Dayal Singh.
During the visit, he conducted a thorough review of the operational effectiveness and administrative capabilities of the world’s largest paramilitary force.
The CRPF has effectively addressed Naxalism and facilitated the return of peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir and the Northeastern regions, he remarked.
The CRPF’s chief informed the home minister about various welfare initiatives aimed at supporting the families of martyred personnel, including compassionate appointments within the CRPF.
Amit Shah highlighted the necessity of promoting Hindi in the force’s everyday operations to enhance linguistic cohesion.
Additionally, he encouraged the soldiers to incorporate more ‘Shri Ann’ (Millets) into their diet for improved health, and urged them to leverage the benefits of Ayurveda. He also invited soldiers to participate in the ‘Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan’ for personalized health insights that align with individual Prakriti, promoting wellness and better health.
This visit from the home minister underscores the government’s acknowledgment of CRPF’s dedication to national security and its diverse contributions to nation-building, as stated.
Several senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, including Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, were also present during the meeting.
