NEW DELHI, Jan 7: On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the need for Indian investigative agencies to leverage modern technology and methodologies for apprehending fugitives, as he inaugurated the ‘Bharatpol’ portal aimed at expediting international cooperation among agencies.
During the launch event at Bharat Mandapam, the minister highlighted that the portal, developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), features a real-time interface that enhances connectivity between central and state agencies and Interpol, thus accelerating investigative processes.
“We must utilize contemporary technology and approaches to track down and bring to justice those who have fled India after committing crimes,” Shah remarked.
