NEW DELHI, Dec 3: Just hours prior to the inauguration of several infrastructure developments, including those in housing and education, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed his government’s steadfast dedication to empowering future generations through knowledge, innovation, and opportunities.
He highlighted the significance of the day for Delhi’s growth via a series of posts on X.
“A home is the foundation of dreams,” Modi remarked as he prepared to open 1,675 flats designated for slum residents. “We are committed to providing adequate housing for every Indian.”
He mentioned, “Today’s event includes the inauguration of 1,675 newly-constructed units under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project, which will facilitate improved living conditions for many.”
Modi indicated that the new Type-2 government quarters in Sarojini Nagar would support diligent government employees, whose hard work contributes significantly to national progress.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the commencement of infrastructure projects in the educational sector, such as the establishment of a college named after Veer Savarkar, would bolster academic infrastructure and create world-class learning environments for students.
“Delhi has established itself as an educational hub, attracting learners from across India,” he noted.
“These initiatives underscore our commitment to nurturing future generations by equipping them with knowledge, innovation, and opportunities in a progressive and inspiring environment,” he added.
Modi’s push for infrastructure development in the national capital arrives as political tensions heighten ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, anticipated next month.
The BJP is intensifying efforts to disrupt AAP’s longstanding grip on power in the city, which has persisted since 2013, barring a brief interval of President’s rule. (Agencies)
