JAMMU, Dec 28: On Saturday, officials reported that six individuals who were trapped due to severe snowfall on the Mughal Road in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, were successfully rescued by the police.
On the night of Friday, two vehicles traveling from Shopian to Surankote became immobilized in the snow at Chattapani, leaving the passengers stranded in perilous weather conditions, according to the police.
They indicated that a police unit quickly arrived at the scene and efficiently evacuated everyone to safety during a prompt rescue operation.
The police urged travelers to exercise caution and remain updated about weather conditions when journeying through snowy and high-altitude regions.
